Notes for Agnes SMITH

General Note
There were two Agnes Smiths born around the right time: Agnes daughter of John Smith and Mary Wallace in Quarwood (now Quarrelwood), christened 1 February 1741, and Agnes daughter of David Smith and Nicholas (can be a female name) Thomson in Newlands, christened 12th September 1742.

As Quarrelwood was very much a Crocket stronghold, the former is suggested as the appropriate baptism.
