A fairly typical unprepossessing typical French village.

On asking where the castle was we were directed up the street. Sure enough, it could indeed have been a small castle.

The church for the village was behind.

We noticed as we left the area this vast building, perhaps a Victorian construction. Please see the card.

Somehow this felt as if the original village was being usurped.
