Rose was told she would not survive any more English winters in around 1947. Ernest and Rose
left England with two of their daughters around 1947, for South Africa, all going to live in
Hermanus in Cape Town. Rose and Ernest, on Olive and Max's insistence, left for Auckland in New Zealand in 1959. They lived with the Cattle family until their deaths. |
