| His birth, at 86 Loughborough Park, Brixton SW. The 1901 census seems to have erroneously given his place of birth, ie the road, as a town, namely Loughborough. Arthur was working as a draper's assistant in St Marylebone, Middlesex in 1901. The record states he was 'single', and yet his son Lawence William was born in 1898, when his father was 16, unless this was another individual. |
