In the 1901 census: George Purser 23 Sussex Worthing London Fulham Boot (Book?) Dealer.

He was living at 328 North End Road in St John's, Fulham, Lillie Ward. He was the 'Employer' and Head of House, Single, with a Widowed housekeeper Sarah Farnden, and a resident book shop assistant, the son of his housekeeper, Guy. Also there was the housekeeper's daughter as a boarder, a single girl of 16, Gladys Farnden.

Isabel Dickens appears as 'Isabella', living with her sister Caroline and other siblings in Fulham. She was a butcher's cashier, age 17, born in Bermondsey. She and her sister appeared in the 1891 census at home in Fulham with their family, father a fireman.
