In the 1891 census, she and Alfred are staying with his aunt Margaret Corwardine? in Cheltenham. They have with them little Archibald age 2. Alfred is a Grocer's Assistant, born in Bedfod, while Archibald was born in Cheltenham.

By the 1901 census for 61 High Street, Barnstaple, Devon, Alfred is now an inspector for the RSPCC. He was 37, and born at Arlesey, Bedford. therre is one more child, Claud C, age 9, born in Cheltenham.
