In the 1881 census she was in a lodging house in 78 Wells Street, Cavendish Square, Marylebone,
age 14, no occupation. One wonders whether she might have run away from home, or was being
paid to stay away from the house. Marriages Jun 1889 BRADBERRY Ellen Matilda Edmonton 3a 490 Rawle Frank 1 Western Terrace, Clyde Road, Tottenham in the 1891 census, with one child, and Frank working as a porter for a dispensing chemist. They had Ernest F age 1, born in Islington. Was this 'Frank' in the 1901? By 1901 she was on her own at 145 Roslyn Road, Tottenham St Anne's, taking in washing, caring for two 'nurse' children, and alone with Frank, Walter and Frederick, 11, 6 and 4. |
