| Mary was the daughter of Hugh Tener Galbraith (doctor, surgeon, international Irish rugby player, farmer, mine & doctor) and Mary Elizabeth Stanton. She had no particular qualifications, 16 years younger than her sister, raised more tolerantly than her sister. She did a shorthand-typing course. She played golf, tennis, enjoyed parties, very innately clever. She lived and dreamed family history. She wrote about Mary nee Daniel and Robert D'Arcy. The book is still in the family in a fragile typed version. She also wrote about her father's side. |
